Are You Using Fish Oil Capsules Yet?

Once we used to get all of the Omega-3 fatty acids that we needed by eating two or more meals of fish per week. Now however the worlds oceans are full of pollution, containing toxins and heavy metals like mercury, lead and PCBs. These days we need to take Omega-3 fish oil capsules to obtain our essential fatty acids.

When you buy fish oil capsules you need to ensure that the oil has treated or purified by a process called molecular distillation. This process will give you the purest oil you can buy.

If you can spare the time, we suggest that you check out the manufacturers website to see where the oil is sourced from. The fish should be Hoki, salmon, mackerel or herring. Fish that can be found in the deep cold waters of the ocean. These fish are the highest in Omega-3 fatty acids.

Another benefit to us is the fact that the Omega-3 fats are naturally high anti-inflammatory’s. This is a great boon to those who suffer from arthritic problems.

Once when I was a young boy, my mother used to spoon feed me cod liver oil from a big brown bottle. It was horrible, yuk. These days all we need to do is take two soft gel capsules which are tasteless, but provide all the benefits of a purified Omega-3 fish oil. So I ask again, are you using fish oil capsules yet?

What Causes Female Hair Loss

May 18th, 2009 by admin

Hair loss or baldness is most often associated with men. Virtually every product you see advertised is associated with helping men and their problem with hair loss. What is not discussed as often is the female hair loss.

In this article let’s take a look at what causes female hair loss and what can be done about it.

One interesting statistic is that as many as one out of four women in the United States will experience hair loss at one time in their life. Chances are you know a woman who has had this problem.

Hormone levels often are the cause of hair loss in women. Hormone levels affect many things in a woman’s life.

An imbalance in hormones causes some women to lose their hair and is most likely to happen during pregnancy, around the time of giving birth to a child, and at the time of menopause. This is when women’s hormone levels are most out of balance at a higher level.

If you were to talk to a woman who is experiencing hair loss she may think it has something to do with blow drying her hair too often. Or it might have to do with changing hair colors or getting too many perms. This usually is not the case.

Hair is more important to women than it is to men so when they began to experience loss of hair it can have a dramatic effect on their life. Some will resort to wearing wigs as a way to keep a beautiful full head of hair.

This can be an expensive alternative because wigs are not cheap if you purchase a quality one. Some women will even resort to a hair transplant which is a viable option too.

Nutrition is a more health oriented way to deal with this problem. Today there are many products on the market designed to help with the thinning of women hair. One way to bring nutrition to the scalp and hair follicles are dietary supplements.

With the many pollutents and toxins in the air extra vitamins are not always possible to solve the problem of female baldness, but it can be helpful. And of course you get the additional benefits that come with being more healthy.

If you are a woman dealing with female hair loss you may want to consult with your physician. It is not the end of the world and certainly a problem that can be dealt with in multiple ways.
